Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Business Development Executive based in the North Leinster region to drive sales growth and strengthen FMI’s market presence. This is a proactive, field-based role focused on sales influencing, relationship building, and commercial impact — working closely with retail partners to increase product listings, expand share of space, and grow sales across key categories.


 The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, skilled at turning product conversations into commercial wins, and capable of delivering measurable sales results while upholding FMI’s professional standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Location: Must reside in the North Leinster region, ideally in North Dublin, Louth or Meath, with flexibility to travel across the territory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of sales experience in FMCG, retail, or a similar field, with a proven ability to achieve targets and influence purchasing decisions.
  • License: Full, clean driver’s license is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Influencing and Negotiation:
     Engage with store managers, buyers, and key decision-makers to drive incremental sales, secure product listings, and expand distribution across North Leinster.
  • Account Development:
     Build and manage strong customer relationships that deliver sustainable sales growth and long-term loyalty.
  • Target Achievement:
     Achieve and exceed regional sales targets and KPIs through effective territory planning, execution, and relationship management.
  • Promotional Execution:
     Collaborate with marketing and trade teams to execute product promotions, displays, and events that directly influence sales outcomes.
  • Market Expansion:
     Identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to grow product presence in new and existing channels, including retail, cafés, and gyms.
  • Category Advocacy:
     Provide insights on product performance, competitor activity, and customer trends to support commercial decision-making and campaign adjustments.
  • Merchandising Support:
     Maintain product visibility and shelf standards to ensure brand representation complements sales initiatives.
  • Order Processing and CRM Management:
     Use digital tools to manage orders, log customer interactions, track performance, and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Sales Reporting:
     Produce timely and insightful reports on territory performance, market developments, and opportunities for growth.
  • Event Representation:
     Represent FMI and its brands at trade shows, sampling events, and business development activities.
