Full on site requirement during probation period with the open to do hybrid after that.

As a Senior Account Manager at Field Management Ireland, you will play a key leadership role in managing the successful delivery of FMCG field management contracts. You will be responsible for driving organic growth within existing accounts, overseeing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to ensure revenue growth. Your primary focus will be ensuring the profitability and sustainability of FMCG contracts while delivering excellence in client service and field sales execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Management & Delivery:
    • Oversee the management and execution of multiple FMCG field sales contracts.
    • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of client expectations, meeting KPIs and targets.
    • Manage the day-to-day client communications, reporting, addressing issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the senior point of contact for our clients, fostering strong, lasting relationships.
    • Maintain a high level of client engagement to anticipate their needs and improve service levels.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and prepare comprehensive client reports to demonstrate added value.
  3. Commercial Oversight:
    • Take full ownership of the financial performance of the FMCG accounts, ensuring profitability and commercial success.
    • Collaborate with internal finance and operational teams to ensure cost control and margin management.
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis to align with the company's financial objectives.
  4. Driving Organic Growth:
    • Identify and implement strategies to drive organic growth within existing accounts.
    • Develop up-sell and cross-sell opportunities in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
  5. New Business Development:
    • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our services for our existing client portfolio.
    • Participate in pitches and tender processes, working with the Leadership Team to develop compelling tender propositions.
  6. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and mentor a client service team and field sales personnel, ensuring they deliver against objectives.
    • Foster a positive and productive working environment, encouraging collaboration and performance excellence.
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Your profile

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in account management, ideally within FMCG. Previous experience in managing client contracts, P&L responsibility, and business development is essential.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial understanding, with a proven ability to manage budgets, pricing models, and profitability.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading teams and driving results through effective management, motivation, and development of staff.
  • Client-Focused: Exceptional client management skills with the ability to understand client needs and build long-term partnerships.
  • Sales & Business Development: A track record of driving organic growth within existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven ability to meet targets, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or a related field.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Knowledge of the Irish FMCG market is an advantage.
